Summary – Finance Intern

Our client is seeking a motivated Finance Intern to join our team in Dubai, UAE. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in finance and accounting within a dynamic and innovative environment. The ideal candidate will actively contribute to financial operations, project management, and digitalisation initiatives while collaborating with diverse teams to deliver impactful results. Key Responsibilities

• Assist Commercial Project Managers in executing project-related tasks to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
• Handle project purchasing and logistics, including creating purchase order requests, coordinating with customs clearing agents, and liaising with team members.
• Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes accurately and in a timely manner.
• Track project and cost centre expenses, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
• Contribute to managing and optimising targeted financial results within projects.
• Support forecasting activities by leveraging IT knowledge to enhance efficiency and implement digital solutions.
• Create and update Tableau dashboards to provide clear insights into financial metrics and project performance.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Demonstrated initiative and responsible decision-making capabilities.
• Strong coordination, organisation, and prioritisation skills to deliver results within time, cost, and quality parameters.
• Fluency in English and effective communication skills in an international environment.
• Proficiency in collaboration, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments.

Skills and Competencies

• Basic knowledge of finance and accounting principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Tableau or similar visualisation tools.
• Interest in digitalisation and IT-driven efficiency improvements.
• Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
